Duncan’s dad, David W. Brown (who celebrated his 90th Birthday last month), marched with Martin Luther King Jr. in Selma in March 1965. In this sermon Duncan describes the long-ago events his research was able to uncover and reflects on their relevancy to where our country finds itself today.
First Unitarian Church of Hobart member Duncan Brown is a fourth-generation UU and great-grandson of noted Unitarian minister John Haynes Holmes (who introduced Gandhi in the U.S.). Duncan teaches the Transcendental Meditation Technique at Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine with his wife Dr. Carla Brown. Duncan is also a professional movie reviewer and photographer.
