“Jesus didn’t want to be worshiped: he wanted to be listened to”

Pagans celebrate the birth of new life from Holy Mother Earth. Jews commemorate the liberation of the ancient Hebrews from Egyptian slavery. Christians glorify that the executed Jesus rose from the dead. Where does that leave us Unitarian Universalists? Life, love and helping each each can never be killed, no matter how terrible the tyranny may be. Life and love always survive. We follow Jesus by feeding the hungry, protecting the refugee, and caring for the Earth.
