First introduced in 1923 by Unitarian minister Norbert Capek of Prague, Czechoslovakia the Flower Communion has been a favorite UU tradition. It is an annual ritual that celebrates beauty, human uniqueness, diversity, and community. This beautiful ceremony is an opportunity to express our commitment to the Sixth Principle: We covenant to affirm and promote the goal of world community with peace, liberty and justice for all. Bring a flower with you to share.
